| The
I.B. program is a rigorous
pre university course of studies
that allows students to attempt to get a diploma
that is recognized all over the world.
I.B. has been at Kelly since 1997, but it was not until this past July
that the school became an official
affiliate with the organization.
The application process took about a year and a half. The 1997 I.
B. class consisted of 24 students, of which 16 remain in the courses. This
first group of students has been known as the experimental
class,
and since the program was approved during the dawn of their junior year
these students will only be allowed to test for two I.B. certificates,
rather than the entire diploma. All other I.B. students, however,
have a chance at the diploma.
